COVID-19 Updates

As the world adjusts to a new way of life, so we adjust to a new way of practice. My goal has always been to provide a safe and comfortable space for therapeutic bodywork. I take the health and safety of clients very seriously. I have made many necessary adjustments and additions to my massage space and office protocol to ensure the safety of everyone. This is because each person who enters indirectly affects everyone.

Below are the current updates. Complete policies can be found here.

Scheduling

At this time, there is a required two-week wait between any travel and massage.

Please allow two days between a Covid vaccine and your massage.

Following OSHA’s Temporary Rule Addressing COVID-19, you will be asked to delay scheduling an appointment or to reschedule your existing appointment if you:

  • Have a new or worsening cough
  • Are experiencing a new loss of taste or smell
  • Have a fever
  • Have a sore throat
  • Have been in close contact with anyone with these symptoms or anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 14 days
  • Are currently are ill with Covid-19 or suspect that you may be positive for the virus

If you have tested positive for or assumed to have Covid at some point, please reach out to me before scheduling.

Appointment

A mask is required in the building and during the massage. I am not able to offer any accommodations to this rule. The type of mask plays a role in your comfort level. Surgical masks seem to be the better choice and I can offer you one if needed. Please do not wear neck gaiters or masks with one-way valves. The mask needs to cover both your nose and mouth when you speak.

I wear an N95 mask and change it for each client.

Please arrive five minutes early as the new building protocol requires you to call or text me upon your arrival. The doors to the building are locked and only I can escort you in and out.

Safety Measures

Just as before the pandemic, I disinfect all hard surfaces with a hospital-grade germicide, Citrus II, that kills the SARS/Coronavirus.

The owner of the building has upgraded the filters in the HVAC system with higher quality, high-efficiency filters. I now constantly run a HEPA filter air purifier in my massage room

The soft surface chair has been replaced with a hard surface chair so that it may be disinfected between clients.

There is and always has been a moisture barrier on the massage table to separate the fitted sheet from the table warmer. This barrier is disinfected between every client.

The time between appointments has been extended to allow for better air circulation.

Post-Appointment

If you develop any Covid-related symptoms or test positive for Covid within two weeks after your massage you are asked to contact me immediately. I will do the same for you.
